Industrial Enterprises, Inc. (IEI) is an industrial fabrication and installation company based in Missouri, working on a range of industrial and commercial projects from coast to coast. Their previous website was an outdated singular landing page, and they were looking for an upgraded web presence to showcase their growth, capabilities, and breadth of work in a clean, visually appealing way.
Zykin Design worked with IEI from website design through launch. The new site includes a breakdown of custom fabrication and installation capabilities supported by a project showcase that gives potential clients a sense of reassurance and security that the job will be done right.

Objective
Design and develop a new website that showcases IEI’s growth, industrial fabrication and installation capabilities, and range of custom work.
Before any visual concepts were developed, we conducted an audit of IEI’s competitive landscape to understand what already exists in the market. Our goal was to find the visual and messaging territory that was distinct to your brand, so we moved forward with a design direction that reinforces trustworthiness, precision, and reliability.
The navy blue and light gray color palette complement the vibrant orange used in their original logo, and when coupled with a sharp, geometric typeface (Fustat), the result was a visual identity that let the content shine. A curved underline element was also implemented throughout various headings, a subtle nod to the custom nature of their work that sometimes breaks outside the mold.
The website structure was designed around how IEI’s typical clients move through a decision-making process. Through the page layouts, written and visual content, and user experience flow, we built a site designed for the general contractors, facility managers, and project owners who need to trust IEI before they contact them. By having a clear audience in mind, we were able to make better decisions regarding the written and visual content.
Overall, it was a great experience to see a sample of the custom fabrication projects that are vital for so many industries that power our world. IEI’s clients include some of the most recognized names in food production, energy, and manufacturing, and the high caliber, custom work they produce plays a major role in our everyday lives. It was a pleasure to work with them!
